Dyatlov Pass Incident

16 Apr

One of the most bizarre, intriguing stories I’ve come across in a while. For full wikipedia article.  In brief: Some hikers in 1959, descended upon the Ural mountains in Russia.  When discovered missing, search parties were sent, panic ensued.  The discovery: the hikers’ tent had been ripped open from the inside, and the hikers had died apparently running away wearing next to nothing. Some suffered from internal contusions but suffered no external damages–doctors have theorized that the impact upon their bodies could have been comparable to the impact of being hit by a car (but remember, without any external bruising, fracturing, bleed, etc.). Oh and one was found without her tongue.  Russian government still doesn’t know what it is or could have been, though a former employee insists it was aliens–others, of course, have insinuated perhaps, a nuclear contamination–especially when taking into consideration the shock that the relatives of the deceased experienced when discovering, at their loved ones’ respective funerals, all had skin that had been tinged orange and all hair had turned gray. So weird.

    1959! Oh… that’s why it’s not in the news.
    I thought it was recent.
But the fact it happened back then makes it even more creepy.
